My life has revolved around exploring and seeking new challenges and adventures, often with a dog along for company. I've been lucky enough to ride mountain bikes, rock climb and kayak through amazing places and meet wonderful people along the way. The constant companion making all this possible has been a good solid van to make it all possible, and that's why I love them - it is for the freedom and experiences a van can give you. They should be your private little sanctuary you can escape with whenver you can.

My Dad was a carpenter with an amazing eye for detail and a huge amount of patience and persistence , he passed on so much knowledge to me without even knowing, it was normal to me to have my own hammer and be able to make wooden 'hedgehogs' by nailing pins into a shaped piece of wood. Added to this my Mum is hugely creative and kept angora goats to provide fleece to make into creative hand spun clothing, so it is no wonder that I fell into a practical but creative calling.

I'm lucky to be married to Karen who as a leading commercial designer lends her considerable experience and insight to helping co-ordinate ideas and create well thought through concepts.

When out of the workshop you will find us and our dogs River and Awa out hiking, biking, kayaking and snowshoeing whever we can get to in our van Durrell, who is a humble 23 year old transit van that is still going strong!
